Metallographic etchants
The attack etchants are used to examine the structure of metallic materials. The purpose of the micrographic analysis is to highlight the materials’ structure (inclusions, grain joins, phases…) thanks to an optical microscope. These etchants react either with preferential chemical attacks, or by colouring certain components instead of others).
