Vacuum and heat; functions as a desiccator or mini-drying station
An efficient way to warm embedding plastics while removing gas bubbles. The aluminum base is placed on a laboratory heating plate (optional). A vacuum can be drawn through a provided porthole in the baseplate using an optional vacuum pump. A digital thermometer (included) measures the plate temperature. Can be used up to 120°C (248°F). Bell jar made out of soda lime glass, Silicone o-ring seal. Vacuum gauge (showing inches of mercury), 3-way valve with filtered vent with a 1/2″ Hose Connection (standard) to connect vacuum systems with a 1/2″ ID vacuum hose. A 3/8″ Hose Connection is also included for 3/8″ or 1/4″ ID hose.
What a practical and effective way to cure embedments or dry samples while degassing them!

VRI-2 Rotary Pump Kit 55 for #2245 Vacuum Dessicator
This pumping kit consist of the VRI-2 pump with a KF16 hose adapter, 1/4” thick wall silicone hose and rotary pump exhaust filter and KF16 adapter. The achievable vacuum is in the 10-2 mbar range. Very cost effective solution offering fast pumping speed and good end vacuum. Ideally used for intermittent pumping. Available both in 115V and 230V.
Diaphragm Pump Kit for #2245 Vacuum Dessicator
This dry pumping kit consists of the #3436 diaphragm pump with 3 feet of 1/4” thick wall silicon hose. This is a cost effective solution suitable for moderate vacuum requirements. Achievable vacuum is in the 200 mbar range. For higher vacuum levels, a two stage rotary pump would be more suitable. Available both in 115V and 230V.
