Vacuum and heat; functions as a desiccator or mini-drying station
An efficient way to warm embedding plastics while removing gas bubbles. The aluminum base is placed on a laboratory heating plate (optional). A vacuum can be drawn through a provided porthole in the baseplate using an optional vacuum pump. A digital thermometer (included) measures the plate temperature. Can be used up to 120°C (248°F). Bell jar made out of soda lime glass, Silicone o-ring seal. Vacuum gauge (showing inches of mercury), 3-way valve with filtered vent with a 1/2″ Hose Connection (standard) to connect vacuum systems with a 1/2″ ID vacuum hose. A 3/8″ Hose Connection is also included for 3/8″ or 1/4″ ID hose.
What a practical and effective way to cure embedments or dry samples while degassing them!
Inside dimensions are 6″ Dia. x 3″ H (15.3 x 7.6cm)
